Test Taking Anxiety
 Nerves are a natural part of returning to school for many
students!
 Please allow plenty of time when scheduling your placement
tests
 Test at a time of day when you know you’ll be most alert
 Get plenty of rest the night before
 For those that place into developmental ESL classes: you will be
retested during the first week of class to make sure that the
content is appropriate for your skills and if you don’t need the
class, you will be advanced to the appropriate level
 For VPT English and Math tests: each unit has a pretest and if
the student successfully passes, they don’t need to do the unit
