 “Doncarb Graphite” LLC is a leading producer of carbon-graphite
structure materials and fittings with special properties in Russia and the
CIS with revenues of more than 25 million US dollars.
 The Company products are used in various industries: chemical,
metallurgical, engineering, nuclear, etc.
 Production is implemented at its own facilities located in Novocherkassk
and Chelyabinsk.
 “Doncarb Graphite” LLC is a member of ENERGOPROM Group. The
company was established as a result of allocating structure material and
fitting business of the Group plants into a separate direction.
 Upon allocating the Company team includes key managers and
specialists who were engaged in the production of profile products at
Chelyabinsk and Novocherkassk Electrode Plants. This allowed us to
preserve and increase more than 50 years experience in the production
of special carbon materials at these plants.

products and composite materials
2008-2010
• Establishment of LLC “Doncarb Graphite” on the basis of part of capacities of Novocherkassk Electrode Plant and
Chelyabinsk Electrode Plant.
2006
• Authority to manage NEZ and ChEZ plants were delegated to JSC “ENERGOPROM MANAGEMENT”
2000
• NEZ. quality management system introduced in accordance with international standard ISO 9001:2000. A certificate
of the international certification authority TUV CERT Anlagentechnik GmbH was obtained.
1998
• NEZ. Technology was introduced and production of new types of heat exchangers was organized.
1983-85
• ChEZ. Department to produce carbon fibers was incorporated. Production of carbon fibers of various brands for
aerospace, automobile, engineering, medicine, production of FMCG.
1983-1985
• NEZ. Launch of the first and second carbon-graphite products workshops, specializing in the production of
antifriction and friction materials based on graphite.
1982
• ChEZ. Launch of the second separation phase for the production of products out of composite materials based on
carbon. Production capacity to produce carbon material was introduced and its serial delivery to aviation and
space industry started.
1971
• ChEZ. Siliconizing and mechanical processing to produce products out of siliconized graphite, as well as a number
of auxiliary shops was introduced.
1959
• NEZ. Introduction of corrosion-resistant heat exchange materials and heat exchange equipment for corrosive
environments.
1954-1957
• ChEZ. The plant introduced and received the first tons of graphitized products for special purposes. Units № 1 and
№ 2 were introduced - grinding-pressing and annealing processing, graphitization shop, machining and assembly.
The plant mastered production of products for special purposes for the full technological cycle, including gas
ejection rudders for rocket technology.

Carbon inserts
Designed for removing current from contact wire. Types of inserts:
• A - used for current collector of electric rolling stock (EPS) of magistral railways and
non-magistral electric vehicles;
• B - used for current collector on EPS for the magistral railways;
• UTA, UTB - used for current collectors of trolley buses.
Distinguishing features: self-lubricating properties, high stability of contact electrical
resistivity, chemical inertness, resistant to oxidation, mostly environmentally safe.
Products out of glass carbon
Glass carbon - isotropic gas-tight, solid material that combines properties of graphite
and glass.
Products out of SU-2000 grade glass carbon are used as crucibles, laboratory
glassware instead of expensive platinum, molybdenum, titanium, etc. for obtaining
high-purity metals and their compounds, phosphors and other fluorophosphate
glasses, as well as spectral analysis and for various electrochemical processes.
Distinguishing features: biocompatibility with living tissues, stability at
temperatures up to 2000 ° C, as well as sudden temperature changes.

Tubular graphite electrodes for anode grinding (EGT)
Used for anode grinding installations of cathode protection against corrosion of
underground metal constructions, oil and gas product pipeline.
EGT consists of a pipe and a current-connector boxes
Anode grinding of EGT can be performed both horizontal and vertical subsurface and
deep in the well to 100 m.
Cases of slide sawmill frames
Flat and prismatic slides designed for one-story sawmill frame operated in the
macro-regions with temperate and cold climates (UHL) or with humid tropic climate
(TV) in premises of category 3 according under GOST 15150.
Permissible heating of slides at operation - 140 ° C. Temperature range from -60 ° C
to +60 ° C.
Lining tile out of composite fiber graphite
Lining tile out of corrosion-resistant composite fiber graphite is designed to protect
steel equipment from corrosion at temperatures range from - 18 ° C up to + 115 °
C.

Application
-high temperature engineering;
-manufacturing of thermal protectors and heat
remover devises;
-crucibles for plasma evaporation, rocket nozzles,
pickling electrodes in aggressive environment,
etc.
The mechanical strength of pyrographite at
temperature above 2500 ºC is more then of all
other materials.
Pyrolytic graphite and carbon pyrographite can be delivered:
• In its pure form (plates, discs)
• In the form of deposition on the reinforcing bodies (pipes, crucibles).

Graphite shaped articles
The following grades of graphite are used in production
of shaped structural articles :
• EG EGP - fine-grained low-ash graphite (general
purpose);
• EGN, EGNO - medium-grained low-ash graphite
impregnated (general purpose);
• MNG, MNGP - medium-grained low-ash graphite of
improved structure.
Materials are highly resistant to aggressive
environments with different temperature and physical
exertion.
Application:
Shaped articles out of impregnated graphite
• production of chemical equipment;
• crucible for production of multi-component glass and
metal melting in high vacuum furnaces;
• heater of vacuum electric furnaces and electrical
resistivity furnaces;
• production of quartz glass;
• blocks and tiles for lining, sealing rings, disks, molds,
boats for sintering hard alloys and other products. .
Designed for manufacturing of details for heat
exchangers, liners and other equipment operating in
aggressive acid environments.
Shaped structural billets out of graphite of various grades
are used to obtain structural impregnated graphite
materials.
The following grades are obtained after impregnation with
synthetic resins : MNG - O - FF, MNG - FF, MNGP - FF,
EG - FF, EGP-FF (impregnated with phenol formaldehyde
resin)

Fine-grained dense graphite

Fine-grained graphite of ARV-Y, ARB1, ARV-2, MG, MG-1 grades
Billets and articles out of fine-grained dense graphite of
MPG grades are used:
– in semiconductor technology;
– for electrical discharge machining of metals;
– as molds for casting non-ferrous metals and their
alloys;
– as a tool-electrode in electric stamp treatment, molds
out of different steels.
Graphite grades MPG-6 (H) and MPG-7 (H) and MPG8 (H) is available in stock in the form of: cylinders,
blocks and plates. Different shapes and sizes can be
manufactured by agreement with the consumer.
Graphite of these grades - fine-grained material produced on the calcined coal tar pitch basis. Possesses
high mechanical strength and low ash content. Used in
the production of ultra pure materials.

– lining of chemical equipment,
– graphite tooling of vacuum furnaces, heaters, screens,
– boats and crucibles for sintered high density metal
alloys, smelting of rare metals and semiconductors,

Siliconized graphite grades
Siliconized graphite details of grades SG-M, SG-T,
SG-P
Used for producing of molds, crucibles, lining blocks
and other products.
Details are used as a friction pairs in the axial and
radial bearings and face seals operating in agressive
liquid environment, containing abrasive particles.
Products out of boron siliconized graphite of
grades BGS-30 and BGS-60
Siliconized graphite is a product of high temperature
treatment of various types of artificial graphite with molten
silicon.
Silicon carbide gives siliconized graphite low gas
permeability and oxygen demand, high heat resistance
and heat durability and graphite - high resistance to
multiple heat exchanges.
Mark siliconized graphite is determined by the type of
original graphite material under siliconizing.
Siliconized graphite brand is characterized by a relatively
high resistance to corrosive interaction between different
environments: concentrated boiling acids, alkalis and salt
solutions.
A wide range of details and molds used to operate at
high temperatures as well as hydro abrasive and
agressive environments. Can withstand up to 120
thermal cycles at temperatures from 20 to 1600 C.
Details of friction pairs of alumina silicon carbide
graphite GAKK-55/40
It is used in face seal and bearings, operating both in
neutral fluids (oil, dormant oil, water) and in liquids with
high chemical activity, such as mineral acids, alkalis,
VNIINP-7 oil at temperature range from -60 up to +450.

High purity graphite
High purity graphite is received by purification of billet
in environment of active gas under graphitization
process. Mechanical treatment of the purified billet is
made by carbide tools under conditions excluding
contamination of products.
Products out of graphite of high purity can be
operated in vacuum at temperatures up to 2200 C and
inert gas environment at temperatures up to 2750 C.
Boats and crucibles of high purity graphite are used in
the recovery of germanium dioxide, zone cleaning,
pulling single crystals. Processes are carried out in
restoring and inert environment.
Also used as tooling for production of semiconductor
materials and substances of high purity not entering
into chemical interaction with carbon. Available in the
following brands: GMZ OSCh, ZOPG OSCh medium-grained graphite, MG-1 OSCh - fine-grained
graphite

Shaped articles of other graphite grades
Shaped products are manufactured out of graphite
billets of the following brands: GMZ, GMZ-A, ZOPG,
VPG
Used for manufacture of pipes, screens, stands for
screens, crucibles, heaters. Heaters are used instead
of tungsten and molybdenum for smelting rare metals
and semiconductors in vacuum and other enclosed
electric furnaces at temperatures up to 2000 ° C.
Protective blocks and covers for thermocouples and
operating in neutral environment up to 2300 ° C and
oxidizing environment up to 400-450 ° C; tiles and
blocks for lining chemical equipment, iron and slag
troughs are produced out of these graphite brands.

Graphite anodes are used in electrolytic cells with a steel cathode in
obtaining chlorine and chlorate, caustic soda in electrolyzes for over
sulphurous acid in production of hydrogen peroxide
Graphite blocks of square cross-sections
Graphite blocks of square sections are designed for electrothermal
and electrochemical processes as current conductors and for lining
of reaction space of different devices.
