organization of OECD Organization for Economical
Cooperation and Development of industrialized countries
The mandate: maintain and development for the member
countries the scientific, technological and legal bases for the
nuclear energy use for peaceful purposes.

Nuclear Data Evaluation and Cooperation: they are
channeled through IAEA Nuclear Data Section
• One of the most accessed web service is
JANIS (a NEA product to visualize
nuclear data: it has been accessed 60
000 times a year)
• Non OECD members participate at the
Nuclear Data activities mainly as as
observers or sharing data available on
their existing libraries (CENDL, BROND)

Participation in many areas of Nuclear Science:
Working Party on Reactor Science and Nuclear
Criticality Safety
• Participation of non OECD countries is welcome and they have
technical skill to give significant contribution at the Expert Group
level
• WPRS (WP on Nuclear Science)
• IRPhE (Intern. Reactor Phys. Experiment) database project.
Brazil, P.R. China, Russian Federation and South Africa
• Uncertainty analysis in Modeling. Coupling of neutron-thermalhydraulics in transient analysis (RF and SA)
• IFPE (Int. Fuel. Perf. Exper.) data collection is done in the Data
Bank. Collaboration with FUMEX IAEA project. Non OECD
members participating: Argentina, Brazil, Bulgaria, PR China,
India, Romania, RF, SA.
