• Nearly 40% (108) of all AY 2010-11 new students
(278) were in advanced programs. Most of these
students were enrolled in either Counseling (39%)
or Education Leadership (39%)
• Enrollments in Teacher Leadership and Language and
Literacy made up for 22 percent of the new

Content Knowledge
The average total weighted score for all clinical
mental health counseling candidates on the CPCE
was 78.05
The average total weighted score for all school
counseling candidates on the CPCE was 71.61

Assessment of Clinical Practice
School counseling candidates had an average
criterion score of 98%, but only 7 candidates
were evaluated (28 enrolled in Fall 2010)
CMHC candidates had an average criterion
score of 100%, but only 6 Chicago candidates
were evaluated (26 were enrolled at both
campuses in Fall 2010)

School counselor candidates had an avg. total
score of 91% across both campuses (83% in
Chicago), but only 7 candidates were assessed

3 Student Performance Reviews were requested
in advanced programs (Superintendent,
Reading, & School Counseling)
1 candidate was dismissed, 1 was given a
remediation plan, and 1 faculty advisor
intervened

In May 2011, the COE conducted its 1st survey
of graduate program completers
Advanced respondents: 11 from Counseling, 8
from Principal (6) and TLED (2)
Initial respondents: 34
Surveys were distributed via email, using Survey
Monkey, and using surveys developed by the
Student Services Committee
