How the devil wins a Christian
1 John 5:19 We know that we are of God, and the
whole world lies under the sway of the wicked
one. 20 And we know that the Son of God has
come and has given us an understanding, that we
may know Him who is true; and we are in Him
who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the
true God and eternal life. 21 Little children, keep
yourselves from idols.
1 John 5:18 We know that whoever is born of God
does not sin; but he who has been born of God
keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch
him.
1 John 1:10 If we say that we have not sinned,
we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God
and His righteousness, and all these things shall
be added to you.
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken
you except such as is common to man; but God is
faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted
beyond what you are able, but with the
temptation will also make the way of escape, that
you may be able to bear it.
Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are
surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let
us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so
easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance
the race that is set before us, 2 looking unto
Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who
for the joy that was set before Him endured the
cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at
the right hand of the throne of God.
The devil wins the Christian through Boredom
Mark 6:31 And He said to them, "Come aside by
yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while."
For there were many coming and going, and they
did not even have time to eat. 32 So they
departed to a deserted place in the boat by
themselves.
Galatians 6:9 And let us not grow weary while
doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we
do not lose heart. 10 Therefore, as we have
opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to
those who are of the household of faith.
2 Thessalonians 3:13 But as for you, brethren, do
not grow weary in doing good.
Mark 6:45 Immediately He made His disciples get
into the boat and go before Him to the other side,
to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away.
46 And when He had sent them away, He
departed to the mountain to pray.
The devil wins Christians through other Christians.
Galatians 2:11 Now when Peter had come to
Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he
was to be blamed; 12 for before certain men
came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles;
but when they came, he withdrew and separated
himself, fearing those who were of the
circumcision. 13 And the rest of the Jews also
played the hypocrite with him, so that even
Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.
The devil wins Christians through discouragement
Luke 18:1 Then He spoke a parable to them, that
men always ought to pray and not lose heart,
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in
the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on
the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do
not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts
of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that
you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with
truth, having put on the breastplate of
righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with
the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above
all, taking the shield of faith with which you will
be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in
the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all
perseverance and supplication for all the saints
