 Core Components approach is fast gaining
momentum
 UN/CEFACT is increasingly regarded as the
place where semantic harmonization can take
place at the highest level
 Industry groups now coming forward and
declaring support for UN/CEFACT and for
migration/alignment of their standards with the
CC approach
 UN/CEFACT needs the resources and buy-in of
these external organizations

 The next version of OASIS’s BPSS standard, v2.0.3, will be
submitted to ISO TC 154 for approval as ISO/DTS 15000-6.
 UN/CEFACT and OASIS will announce that BPSS 3.0 will be
a joint effort.
 The TMG recommends that this action be supported by
CEFACT Plenary.
