 2-3 years of Foreign Language (has to be the same language)
 Transcripts evaluation for grad requirements, deficiencies
& college eligibility
College Testing
UC System/Private Schools
 SAT 1 or ACT with Writing
 SAT 2/Subject Test: no longer required, but might
be recommended for competitive majors/schools
CSU System
 SAT 1 or ACT with Writing
 EAP
Important:
 Colleges recommend that students take their tests in the Spring of your
Jr. year, but they are able to take them up through November of Sr year.
 AP testing (in May), if applicable
New SAT coming up March 2016 (would be unrecognizable: structure,
timing, scoring) and new PSAT is coming up Oct 2015.
Mock SAT in April 2015
EAP Program
 An opportunities for Ss to measure their college readiness in Engl/Math their Jr yr
 The EAP tests used to be a part of STAR testing, which is now replaced by SBAC
exams (Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium) and are required of all students.
 The EAP has 2 main components: Jr. yr assessment & Sr. year academic prep
activities.
 Ss who intend to enroll at the CSU system should check off a special box on their
SBAC answer documents. The EAP results can be released to the CSUs only
through this process.
 Students admission to the CSU system is not dependent on their performance on
the EAP. EAP is only used for placement purposes.
