EAP
• Early Assessment Program measures students’ readiness
for college-level English and Mathematics in High School
• Test is taken during the CST (STAR) in the spring of a
student’s junior year --Smarter Balance-• Passing the EAP will exempt a student from placement
tests and remediation courses
• EAP scores can be found on the back of the
Standardized Testing and Reporting (STAR) report
Our Admission Requirements
• 2 years of social sciences, 4 years of English, 3 years
of math, 2 years of lab sciences, 2 years of foreign
language, 1 year of Visual Performing Arts, and 1
year of a college prep elective
• Complete courses with “C” grade or better
• SAT or ACT scores required for GPA less than 3.0
• High school graduation or GED equivalent

(7:30-7:50) Room 156
• 2, 3, 4 year scholarships available (5 years for Engineering and
Nursing students)
• Room and Board or Tuition Option: up to $20,000 per year
• College Book Payment: $1200 per year
• Stipend: Monthly tax free $300 - $500
• CULP (Study abroad program) – All expenses paid
• School Incentives (priority registration, uncapped credit hours)
• Nursing Students receive an additional $650 for uniform and
NCLEX exam (and prep class) are fully paid for.
• Student can try the program out with no obligation or contract
for first two years (No “Boot Camp” or Basic Training)

Scholarships
•Approximately 3.8 million dollars in campus-based scholarships are awarded each year with
some being renewable for up to four years or until graduation.

•President’s Honors Scholarship awarded to 50 incoming freshmen per year.
Financial Aid
•Financial assistance is available to students and families of all income levels.
•Up to 70% of our students receive some type of financial aid funding.
Things to do for Spring 2015
• Take the free practice tests online so that your
student has some exposure to the material for the
Early Assessment Test this April (EAP)
• Register and take the SAT/ACT in the Summer May
and June before Senior Year.
• Go see the Fresno State Ambassador in the
Counseling Center to have your transcript
evaluated and start exploring majors.
• Take a tour of the schools before you apply .
• 3 criteria: Major, Change Major, Cost of
attendance.
