ESMTP – MediaSize extension
 In a Multimedia / Multi-Context message store a
“Quota per media” is maintained.
 Implements a requirement from um-issues internet
draft (draft-wong-umcli-02.txt)
 Same in concept as RFC 1427 (“SMTP Service
Extension for Message Size Declaration”) but
extends it to “multi-media”.
 Builds on “message-context” RFC 3458 (previously:
draft-ietf-vpim-hint-08.txt)
MediaSize – Main updates in 02.txt
Size per Message-Context
The default and minimally required method of
identifying the various media quota is by accounting
the whole message to the "Message-Context"
category
 Removed the discussion whether to extend the draft
to handle multiple types of resource coordination.
Leave it simple – just per message-context size.
MediaSize: Open Issues (none?)
 Nothing new has come up on the list for a
long time
 Unless new feedback appears, authors feel
that the draft is ready to be considered a
Lemonade Workgroup document and be
last-called.
