Why APNIC eLearning?
• Remote Access Survey, Dec. 2005
– 86% of respondents supported development of
eLearning
– Only 31% had attended an on-line course
• Making training more widely accessible – across
time zones and geographic boundaries
• Complementing face-to-face training
– On-line pre-requisite module frees up face-to-face
training sessions
– Trainers can dedicate more time to more advanced
and practical skills training
– The creation of simulations where technologies are not
available for training
