allow for the creation of bike facilities”
 2014 MassDOT CIP (MBTA Vision for 2024) – Changes to
stops on the Worcester Line in Newton; Use of DMUs

 Staff to the MPO
 Conducts federally required transportation planning process for region
 Continuing, cooperative, and comprehensive
 Created in 1974
 Permanent resource of expertise in comprehensive, multimodal
transportation planning and analysis
 Nine groups
 Staff include transportation analysts, planners, engineers, GIS, data
processing, cartography, graphic design, and editing.
