Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, that you present your
bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God,
which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be
conformed to this world, but be transformed by
the renewing of your mind, that you may prove
what is that good and acceptable and perfect will
of God.
Ephesians 4:17 This I say, therefore, and testify in the
Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the
Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind, 18 having
their understanding darkened, being alienated from the
life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them,
because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being
past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness,
to work all uncleanness with greediness. 20 But you
have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard
Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in
Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former
conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to
the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of
your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which
was created according to God, in true righteousness
and holiness.
1 Peter 4:1Therefore, since Christ suffered for us
in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same
mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has
ceased from sin, 2 that he no longer should live
the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of
men, but for the will of God. 3 For we have spent
enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of
the Gentiles -- when we walked in lewdness,
lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties,
and abominable idolatries.
James 4:4 Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you
not know that friendship with the world is enmity
with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a
friend of the world makes himself an enemy of
God.
Matthew 6:24 " No one can serve two masters;
for either he will hate the one and love the other,
or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the
other. You cannot serve God and mammon.
1 Peter 2:1 Therefore, laying aside all malice, all
deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and all evil speaking, 2
as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the
word, that you may grow thereby, 3 if indeed you
have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
Psalm 119:33 Teach me, O LORD, the way of Your
statutes, And I shall keep it to the end. 34 Give me
understanding, and I shall keep Your law; Indeed, I shall
observe it with my whole heart. 35 Make me walk in the
path of Your commandments, For I delight in it. 36
Incline my heart to Your testimonies, And not to
covetousness. 37 Turn away my eyes from looking at
worthless things, And revive me in Your way. 38 Establish
Your word to Your servant, Who is devoted to fearing You.
39 Turn away my reproach which I dread, For Your
judgments are good. 40 Behold, I long for Your precepts;
Revive me in Your righteousness. 41 Let Your mercies
come also to me, O LORD -- Your salvation according to
Your word. 42 So shall I have an answer for him who
reproaches me, For I trust in Your word. 43 And take not
the word of truth utterly out of my mouth, For I have
hoped in Your ordinances. 44 So shall I keep Your law
continually, Forever and ever.
Hebrews 5:12 For though by this time you ought
to be teachers, you need someone to teach you
again the first principles of the oracles of God;
and you have come to need milk and not solid
food. 13 For everyone who partakes only of milk
is unskilled in the word of righteousness, for he is
a babe. 14 But solid food belongs to those who
are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use
have their senses exercised to discern both good
and evil.
Philippians 2:14 Do all things without
complaining and disputing, 15 that you may
become blameless and harmless, children of God
without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation, among whom you shine as
lights in the world, 16 holding fast the word of
life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that
I have not run in vain or labored in vain.
Matthew 7:13 " Enter by the narrow gate; for
wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads
to destruction, and there are many who go in by
it. 14 "Because narrow is the gate and difficult is
the way which leads to life, and there are few
who find it.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in
the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on
the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For we do
not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against
principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts
of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that
you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and
having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with
truth, having put on the breastplate of
righteousness, 15 and having shod your feet with
the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above
all, taking the shield of faith with which you will
be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked
one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the
sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in
the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all
perseverance and supplication for all the saints –
1 Peter 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your
adversary the devil walks about like a roaring
lion, seeking whom he may devour. 9 Resist him,
steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same
sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood
in the world
Has Christianity changed you or are you still
living like the world?
Are you growing in the grace and knowledge of
our Lord or are you being stagnate?
