Youth register between April 1-12
• Register in your WI4honline account
By April 12
• Sign and submit Water Sport and
Community Service Liability Waivers,
if applicable
• Complete the University Health Form found at
www.uhs/wics.edu/campus-health/youth-programs/
• Send that form to University Health Services
• If you must arrive late or leave early, an Absence
Release may be mailed or brought to Conference.
What to Bring

When You Arrive
• Cars and buses may
unload by Sellery Hall
in the parking lot
between Dayton and
Johnson Streets
• A Youth Leader Council member will
be there to greet you
Registration/Check In
•
Adult Advisors check in their county
delegations at Sellery Hall.
– Receive nametags, room keys & wrist
bands for meals.
Always have
your wristband
and room key
with you!
Nametags should be worn at
all times!
Floor Meetings
• A Meet and Greet for youth and County Adult Advisors will
be held after Registration but before tours at 2:15.
• Floor meetings will be held Monday afternoon and each
night
– Led by members of the Youth Leader Council
• Reflect on the day’s activities
• Remind you of what’s coming up
tomorrow
• Time to connect with your
Adult Advisor (chaperones)
• Ask questions

Dorm Life
• Dorm rooms have two
beds
You will share a room with
another delegate from your
county, if possible
• Rooms are airconditioned and each
has a refrigerator
• The dorm has
community-style
bathrooms
Meals
• Gordon Dining Facility is
right next to your dorm
• Delegates need to wear
their wristbands for entry.
• All you can eat!
• A vegetarian entrée and
many fresh veggies and
fruits are available.

Honor curfew, lights-out times
Don’t use phones between 10:30 pm and 7am
• No SAD
– smoking, alcohol, drugs
• Dress appropriately
First Aid & Emergency Issues
• Remember to drink enough water to stay healthy!
• First Aid is available on site around the clock.
• If you are feeling ill, please inform an Adult Advisor or any
staff member so they can obtain assistance for you.
• Emergency transportation is available to medical facilities,
if needed.

conference site, you need to

• Volunteer Coordinators will
direct conference traffic
– Please follow the conference
route and be aware that
Madison drivers don’t always
follow traffic rules!
• Warning: traffic doesn’t
always stop for red lights!
• Always cross at crosswalks
and wait for pedestrian
cross signals
Free Time
• Free time is when County
Delegation Photos are
taken
– talk with your county
delegation to decide what
kind of attire to wear
• Everyone will receive a
delegation photo before
returning home Thursday

Gathering for Seminars
• Meet your group outside
of Sellery Hall before
walking or boarding a
bus to seminars.
• YLC members will hold
up signs for you to find
your seminar group and
lead groups to seminar
classrooms or sites

people, technology,
animals, or the chilly
waters of Lake
Mendota!
Madison Masonic Center
Assemblies are held in the Madison Masonic Center,
several blocks from the dormitory

duties to ensure the
conference runs smoothly
Volunteer Coordinators (VCs)
• The VCs:
– Help coordinate the conference on-site
– Serve as a resource for Adult Advisors
– Ensure safety

morning assembly.
