Proof of enrollment in a college or university must be provided to qualify for student membership • The coursework (taken or planned) supports an interest in Human Resource Management or a related degree program • Students holding any form of current SHRM membership (professional, associate, retired, global or general) are not eligible to convert to student membership until their next annual renewal cycle ©SHRM 2014 14 Student Chapter Chartering Process Key changes to the chartering process: • Sponsoring entity will be the State Council not a professional SHRM Chapter • Will allow for broader engagement • Improve conversion from student to professional member • Does NOT affect current relationships student chapters have with professional chapters ©SHRM 2014 15 Conversion of Student to Professional Great Value for Students transitioning to a Professional!
