STAND UP, STAND UP FOR JESUS
Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in
you richly in all wisdom, teaching and
admonishing one another in psalms and hymns
and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your
hearts to the Lord.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus!
Ye soldiers of the cross; Lift high His royal
banner, It must not suffer loss:
2 Timothy 2:3 You therefore must endure
hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No
one engaged in warfare entangles himself with
the affairs of this life, that he may please him
who enlisted him as a soldier.
From vict’ry unto vict’ry His army shall He lead,
Till ev’ry foe is vanquished, For Christ is Lord in
deed.
2 Timothy 3:16 All Scripture is given by
inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine,
for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for every good
work.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel
of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation
for everyone who believes
1 Corinthians 15:25 For He must reign till He has
put all enemies under His feet. 26 The last enemy
that will be destroyed is death.
1 Corinthians 15:54 So when this corruptible has
put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on
immortality, then shall be brought to pass the
saying that is written: "Death is swallowed up in
victory." 55 "O Death, where is your sting? O
Hades, where is your victory?"
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The trumpet call obey;
Forth to the mighty conflict In this His glorious day;
Ye that are men now serve Him Against unnumbered
foes;
Let courage rise danger, And strength to strength
oppose.
Acts 4:19 "Whether it is right in the sight of God
to listen to you more than to God, you judge. 20
"For we cannot but speak the things which we
have seen and heard."
2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose
heart. Even though our outward man is perishing,
yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light affliction, which is but for a
moment, is working for us a far more exceeding
and eternal weight of glory, 18 while we do not
look at the things which are seen, but at the
things which are not seen. For the things which
are seen are temporary, but the things which are
not seen are eternal.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus? Stand in His
strength alone;
The arm of flesh will fail you, Ye dare not trust
your own;
Psalm 37:1 Do not fret because of evildoers, Nor
be envious of the workers of iniquity. 2 For they
shall soon be cut down like the grass, And wither
as the green herb. 3 Trust in the LORD, and do
good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His
faithfulness. 4 Delight yourself also in the LORD,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart. 5
Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him,
And He shall bring it to pass. 6 He shall bring
forth your righteousness as the light, And your
justice as the noonday. 7 Rest in the LORD, and
wait patiently for Him; Do not fret because of him
who prospers in his way, Because of the man who
brings wicked schemes to pass.
Psalm 146:3 Do not put your trust in princes, Nor
in a son of man, in whom there is no help. 4 His
spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very
day his plans perish. 5 Happy is he who has the
God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the
LORD his God,
Isaiah 12:2 "Behold, God is my salvation; I will
trust, and will not be afraid; for the LORD GOD is
my strength and my song, and he has become my
salvation."
Jeremiah 17:7 "Blessed is the man who trusts in
the LORD, And whose hope is the LORD. 8 For he
shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which
spreads out its roots by the river, And will not
fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green,
And will not be anxious in the year of drought,
Nor will cease from yielding fruit.
Put on the gospel armor, And watching unto
prayer;
Where duty call, or danger, never be wanting
there.
Ephesians 6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord
and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor
of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of
the devil. 12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and
blood, but against principalities, against powers, against
the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual
hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore
take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth,
having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the
gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith
with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of
the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and
the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18
praying always with all prayer and supplication in the
Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance
and supplication for all the saints -- 19 and for me, that
utterance may be given to me, that I may open my mouth
boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for
which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may
speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus! The strife will not
be long;
This day the noise of battle, The next the victor’s
song;
To Him that overcometh A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of Glory Shall reign eternally.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that those
who run in a race all run, but one receives the
prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.
25 And everyone who competes for the prize is
temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a
perishable crown, but we for an imperishable
crown.
Revelation 2:10 "Do not fear any of those things
which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is
about to throw some of you into prison, that you
may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten
days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you
the crown of life.
Revelation 2:7 To him who overcomes I will give
to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst
of the Paradise of God." ‘
Revelation 2:11 He who overcomes shall not be
hurt by the second death
Revelation 14:13 'Blessed are the dead who die
in the Lord from now on.' " "Yes," says the Spirit,
"that they may rest from their labors, and their
works follow them."
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures
temptation; for when he has been approved, he
will receive the crown of life which the Lord has
promised to those who love Him.
1 Peter 5:4 and when the Chief Shepherd
appears, you will receive the crown of glory that
does not fade away.
2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8
Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous
Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me
only but also to all who have loved His appearing.
