Each semester has 13 weeks of classes followed by a 4 week exam period. www.monash.edu.au CRICOS Provider No. 00008C 15 Academic Assessment varies for each course but may be made up of written assignments (or tests) throughout the semester and an exam at the end of the semester. Each course has approximately 3 – 4 contact hours per week. Most courses will consist of a 1 hour lecture and 2 – 3 hours of tutorials or a 2 hour lecture and a 2 hour tutorial. Lectures consist of a large number of students (up to 300), then students are split into smaller, more personalised tutorial groups.
