The mission of Planned Parenthood Los
Angeles is to provide convenient and
affordable access to a comprehensive range
of quality reproductive health care and sexual
health information, through patient services,
education and advocacy.
• Participants will identify three benefits of using a
promotora model in promoting LGBT affirming
environments within Latino families and community.
• Participants will learn about the development,
implementation and results of an LGBT Family
Acceptance curriculum using the promotora model.
• To improve the physical and mental health
outcomes of LGBT youth, by increasing Latino
family and community support of LGBT people.
•
To end family rejection and bullying and create a
culture of respect within communities and
families in Los Angeles County.
