Challenge is a difficult task or experience
that tests a person’s abilities.
When have you felt challenged, either in
school or during an activity?
What are some challenges people often
face as they grow up?
Solutions

Solution is an answer or end result.

How many solutions can a challenge have?

Answer:


A solution can have more than one.
It will depend on many variables such as
the individual person, place or situation.
Choices

Choice is having:





an option
alternative
variety or
selection
People can make choices about the best
way to meet and overcome a challenge.
Activity 1



Tell a partner about a challenge you have
recently faced. DO NOT give the choice or
solution!
Describe the choice you made trying to
meet the challenge.
What was the solution?

If you could go back with your current
knowledge of what happened or what you
know today, would you make the same
choice? Why or why not?
Activity 2

Brainstorm with your partner some
possible choices you could have made to
overcome your challenge?

Be ready to share back with the class what
your choices could be.
