Dearation Chamber Recommendations
• Deliver at least 200cc/hr of replacement
solution post-filter.
• Post-filter solution places a layer of
replacement fluid over the blood in the
dearation chamber.
• With this layer there is no air/blood
interface
• This will decrease clot formation in the
dearation chamber, and assist with circuit
life.

Scales and Solutions
• Effluent Scale –
• Holds a 5 liter or 9 liter bag effluent bag
• White Scale- Pre-Blood Pump (PBP)
• Delivers replacement solution or anticoagulation
solution
• Green Scale• Delivers dialysate solution in CVVHD or HDF
• Delivers replacement solution in CVVH
• Purple Scale• Delivers only replacement solution

• Both scales deliver replacement
solution pre/post-filter
• Supplies a fluid layer to the
dearation chamber
• No air/blood interface
