AdamNet is een netwerk van Amsterdamse bibliotheken. Doel is samenwerken in het beschikbaar stellen van informatie over collecties en activiteiten.

AdamNet-bibliotheken Samen hebben de dertig AdamNet-bibliotheken miljoenen boeken, duizenden tijdschriften, diverse multimedia en nog veel meer voor u ter beschikking.

Toegang tot de AdamNet-bibliotheken is gratis. U heeft in alle gevallen een pas nodig om literatuur te lenen. In sommige bibliotheken is een pas ook nodig om literatuur te raadplegen. Negen AdamNet-bibliotheken hebben een gezamenlijke pas: de AdamNet-pas. Als U bij meer dan één bibliotheek wilt lenen, is het voordelig een AdamNet-pas aan te schaffen.

Initial costs The costs of setting up WorldCat Art Discovery are estimated at approximately EUR 20,000. OCLC is giving a 50% discount on these initial costs. The artlibraries.net committee has identified sponsors for the remaining EUR 10,000. Therefore libraries who sign up during the introductory phase (“Phase 1”) installation will not be charged for initial costs. Libraries joining after the first phase will be charged EUR 300. Annual subscription fee An annual subscription fee will be charged to each participating library for WorldCat Art Discovery and its maintenance. The fee is based upon size of the individual library, measured by collection size. It may be possible to find financial sponsors to assist with the first year’s annual subscription fees. The categories are described below: Category 1: Art Libraries in already WorldCat and in Artlibraries.net: Category 2: Art Libraries already in WorldCat but not in Artlibraries.net: Categories 1 and 2 - Collection Size: < 10,000 <200,000 >200,000 EUR 450 EUR 650 Category 3: Art Libraries already in WorldCat but without qualifying end user service: EUR 350 Category 3 - Collection Size: < 10,000 <200,000 >200,000 EUR 950 EUR 1,050 Category 4: Libraries already in artlibraries.net with no current OCLC connections: EUR 850 Pricing is the same as for category 3. In addition, each library will need to have a bilateral agreement with OCLC for conversion and loading of data to WorldCat and ongoing maintenance of the data. The artlibraries.net committee will make every effort to support this group of libraries by identifying sponsors to fund the costs of record conversion.

Note regarding specific consortia: OCLC has considered the following 3 networks , the Union catalogue of the libraries of the French national museums, the Union catalogue of Düsseldorf Cultural Institution, and the IRIS Consortium as follows. It is envisaged to charge the three networks as single units with holdings set in WorldCat at the union catalogue level (i.e. a symbol for the union catalogue) meaning links from WorldCat to the union catalogue, not directly to each library. The holdings of the networks and their libraries are not yet in WorldCat.
