Key activity

skills, knowledge and
confidence to…
• …develop engaging, crosscurricular activities and
resources in partnership with
teachers and…
• …help create safe and
inspiring spaces for children
and young people
Self-assessment
• Identifying skills & CPD needs
through self-assessment
• Reciprocal placements with
partners
• Measuring success and
scoping future development
Outcomes
“Better than expected – the museum staff were very understanding and
accommodating… I’ve learned to let the pupils be more creative and to trust
their instincts”.
“I’ve improved my body language and presentation skills when dealing with
children of different ages… I have a greater understanding of how children
learn and how activities can be adapted to suit differing abilities”.
“My highlight was a parent saying to me… ‘my son has been so enthusiastic
about learning his lines as an evacuee. I cannot believe it”!
“Another positive relationship with an ‘outsider created… this can only be good
for teaching and learning. Having been involved with Learning Links before, I
jumped at the chance of being involved again. The Y8 students relished the
chance to meet the archivist and get a ‘hands-on experience… I felt a
renewed interest; this had such a positive impact on my planning…”.
