大利烏王第二年六月初一日，耶和華的話藉先
知哈該向猶大省長撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和約
撒答的兒子大祭司約書亞說：
2 “萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 這 百 姓 說 ， 建 造 耶 和
華殿的時候尚未來到。
Haggai 1:1-13 (NIV)
1In
the second year of King Darius, on the first day of the sixth
month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet
Haggai to Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and
to Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest: 2This is what the
LORD Almighty says: “These people say, ‘The time has not
yet come to rebuild the LORD’s house.’”

那時耶和華的話臨到先知哈該說：
4這殿仍然荒涼，你們自己還住天花板的房屋
麼 ？5 現 在 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 如 此 說 ： 你 們 要 省 察 自
己 的 行 為 。6你 們 撒 的 種 多 ， 收 的 卻 少 ； 你 們 吃 ，
卻不得飽；喝，卻不得足；穿衣服，卻不得暖；
得工錢的，將工錢裝在破漏的囊中。

Then the word of the LORD came through the
prophet Haggai: 4 “Is it a time for you yourselves to be
living in your paneled houses, while this house remains
a ruin?” 5 Now this is what the LORD Almighty says:
“Give careful thought to your ways. 6 You have planted
much, but harvested little. You eat, but never have
enough. You drink, but never have your fill. You put on
clothes, but are not warm. You earn wages, only to put
them in a purse with holes in it.”
萬軍之耶和華如此說：
你 們 要 省 察 自 己 的 行 為 。8 你 們 要 上 山 取 木 料 ， 建 造 這
殿 ， 我 就 因 此 喜 樂 ， 且 得 榮 耀 。 這 是 耶 和 華 說 的 。9 你
們盼望多得，所得的卻少；你們收到家中，我就吹去。
這是為甚麼呢？因為我的殿荒涼，你們各人卻顧（原文
是 奔 ） 自 己 的 房 屋 。 這 是 萬 軍 之 耶 和 華 說 的 。10 所 以 為
你 們 的 緣 故 ， 天 就 不 降 甘 露 ， 地 也 不 出 土 產 。11 我 命 乾
旱臨到地土、山岡、五穀、新酒，和油，並地上的出產、
人 民 、 牲 畜 ， 以 及 人 手 一 切 勞 碌 得 來 的 。”

This is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your
ways. 8 Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my
house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,” says the LORD.
9“You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought
home, I blew away. Why?” declares the LORD Almighty. “Because of my
house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own
house. 10 Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and
the earth its crops. 11 I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains,
on the grain, the new wine, the olive oil and everything else the ground
produces, on people and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.”

那時，撒拉鐵的兒子所羅巴伯和約撒答的兒
子大祭司約書亞，並剩下的百姓，都聽從耶和
華─他們 神的話和先知哈該奉耶和華─他們
神差來所說的話；百姓也在耶和華面前存敬畏
的 心 。13 耶 和 華 的 使 者 哈 該 奉 耶 和 華 差 遣 對 百 姓
說 ：“ 耶 和 華 說 ： 我 與 你 們 同 在 。”

Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of
Jozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the
people obeyed the voice of the LORD their God and the
message of the prophet Haggai, because the LORD their
God had sent him. And the people feared the LORD. 13
Then Haggai, the LORD’s messenger, gave this
message of the LORD to the people: “I am with you,”
declares the LORD.
