Poplar Street Conversion
Project Purpose
• Make Uptown easier to navigate in this area.
• One-way street systems can be:
– Confusing
– Can lead to unnecessarily longer driving in the search
of parking or destinations.
• Converting some of Uptown’s one-way streets to
two-way will:
– Improve the street network
– Reduce congestion and air pollution
– Reduce pedestrian conflicts and motorist confusion
Poplar Street Conversion

St. to 6th St. from one-way to two-way.
