• How do we know if students have actually
read the books? 要保證學生從閱讀中抓
住內容的意義,只要求學生把完成閱讀
的書目記錄下來是不足夠的
• Grading book reports is time consuming
而且教師需花費大量時間批改讀書報告
• Reading Battle with leaderboard may help
motivate students 電子測驗系統加上排行
榜可鼓勵學生更投入於閱讀
• Helps teachers to assess students’
comprehension level 有助老師更有效地
量度及分析學生的閱讀理解水平

• Coordinate with IT team (Chrome / Firefox installed on
computers in computer room)

• Reserve computer room so that all students will have a
hands-on session to use Reading Battle 帶領學生進入多
媒體學習室試用網站,確保戶口運作暢順
• Hold bimonthly competition to keep up momentum
每月定期公佈排行榜,即時獎勵榜上首三名學生
• Collaborate with subject-teachers to promote project
與學科教師推動延伸閱讀

• Benchmark and compare students’ reading comprehension ability
before and after intervention 定立基準, 比較學生在計劃前後的
閱讀理解能力
• Collect questionnaires from teachers and students

比較學生的閱讀興趣調查
• Interview 5-10 students and a few teachers after intervention in each

Preliminary findings
 Student felt that “Reading Battle” was very attractive
學生覺得「閱讀大挑戰」十分吸引
 Students were keen to attempt battles. They also found
enjoyment in the process
學生積極完成測試, 並樂在其中
 Students found that “Reading Battle” helped them understand
the content of the books
學生發現「閱讀大挑戰」有助理解圖書內容
 The participating Chinese teachers discovered that “Reading
Battle” could motivate students to read more
