The problems of tourism in Egypt Time : 40 min

OBJECTIVES

1- To read different texts to demonstrate understanding critically interpret the main factor for having neglected places in Egypt.

2- To encourage group and pair discussions about the obstacles of tourism.

3- To plan different projects to attract tourists to visit Egypt using technology to search and collect data.

Activity in steps To distribute pictures of famous touristic places & neglected places then students in groups have to identify these places & their location. (10 min)

Groups have reading texts about the obstacles of tourism in Egypt. Students have to discuss the main problems mentioned in the texts. Each group chooses one problem to discuss, then the group has to find a solution to this problem, then at last each group designs a poster to represent his solution.(15 min)

Students can search data on the internet to interpret the main factors for having neglected places in Egypt. They can mention these places and then sent a letter to the minister of culture with their suggestions.(15 min)

Students have to write an invitation card to tourists to invite them to visit Egypt.
