WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THE COLOURS?

In 2D design, you have what is known as 3rds. An effective design leads the viewer into the MAIN IDEA one step at a time.

In this design, the colour captures the eye. Then moves from left to right. Ten out of 100, the viewer’s eye skips 3 (Centre Image) and moves to 2 positioned at the extreme right. That’s because visually, the picture to the right is more dynamic than the one in the centre.

If you've come across more rainbows than usual in the past few weeks, there's a good reason:

June is internationally recognized as LGBT Pride month

, a time when LGBT groups celebrate with events and parades bedazzled in colorful memorabilia. With the Supreme Court's ruling on marriage equality expected later this month, many people are asking if Pride is still as important as it was in decades past. The answer is absolutely yes. As we head into the final week of festivities, here are four reasons Pride matters more than ever:

The Stonewall riots were a tipping point for the Gay Liberation Movement. The last Sunday in June was initially celebrated as “Gay Pride Day,” but the actual day was flexible. In major cities across the world the “day” soon grew to encompass a month-long series of events. Today, celebrations include pride parades, picnics, parties, workshops, symposia and concerts, and LGBT Pride Month events attract millions of participants around the world. Memorials are held during this month for those members of the community who have been lost to hate crimes or HIV/AIDS. have also gained popularity in recent years. These events are for young LGBT people, their families and straight allies. School organizations such as gay-straight alliances come together to celebrate the community in rallies and marches.

"He Who Does Not Remember History Is Condemned To Repeat It"

Volume 1 of this book “Art—A

History Painting, Sculpture,

Architecture” by Frederick Hartt, presents some interesting historical perspective related to Greek architecture. We will look at one or two examples.

The Author writes:

“The Classical period in architecture and sculpture in Athens coincided with the greatest extent of Athenian Military and political power, and with the peak of Athenian prosperity—also, unexpectedly, with the height of democratic participation in the affairs of the Athenians polis. This was no accident; the vision and vitality of a single statesman, Pericles, brought Athens to her new political hegemony, and it was Pericles who commissioned the monuments for which Athens is eternally renowned…in some twenty dizzying years Pericles and the great architects and sculptors who worked under his direction created a series of monuments that have been the envy of the civilized world ever since, perhaps because they first proclaimed the new ideal of transfigured humanity, raised to a plane of superhuman dignity

and freedom.” p 126

Students of history know that relics of Greek and Roman cultures has trickled down to our present age. Much of what make up education, culture, politics and economics have been the legacy passed on by the Greeks and Romans civilizations. Frederick Hartt further states:

“ The sublime style of the Age of Pericles, as this transitory period should properly be called, was in many respects never equaled; it can be paralleled only by the even briefer period of the early sixteenth century in central Italy, the High Renaissance, also dominated and inspired by a single political genius, Pope Julius II.”

-Ibid. Many may agree that this history has similarities to President Barack Obama’s “American HOPE.” The prophecies of the bible are inescapably accurate in regards to what is taking place in the religious and political game that is being played out in this present American society.

Revelation, the thirteenth chapter,

is being fulfilled before our eyes. How many Seventh-day Adventist are paying attention?

The Acropolis at Athens is an outstanding monumental and architectural invention. It is a massive rock which contains the principal sanctuaries of the city. Hartt commenting on the Parthenon’s placement in relation to the other monuments says:

“When Pericles rebuilt the Acropolis (figs. 1 and 2), he erected the temples on ancient, sacred sites, and where he could he utilized foundations remaining from older buildings, with the result that the

, the principal structure on the Acropolis and by general acclaim the supreme monument of Greek architecture …

[would be viewed as] satisfactory, uninterrupted…[in] relationship to other buildings.”

GRECO-ROMAN CULTURE AND SEX WORSHIP

It is a historic fact that the lifestyle of the Emperors and Caesars in Greco-Roman culture; such likes as Caligula, were filled with debauchery and sexual immorality. Based on their philosophical ideals, the temple worship of the gods was a transaction to take them into a similar realm of becoming deified and immortalized. This was the avenue to freedom. This was the “PRIDE” of every citizen who had the privilege of participating in the temple rituals.

The Doric and Ionic Orders in Greek architecture governed all the forms of any Greek temple. Both Orders are widely used in architecture styles seen throughout Europe, North America and the world.

If you carefully note the order of the elements of the painting, you will understand the message.

The Parthenon/Supreme Court building is in the background and above it rays of rainbow colours along with stars brighten the sky. In the foreground are people from the working class.

No question about it, the worker who is most outstanding is that of a woman dressed in white.

She is the leader, she has stepped out ahead of those behind, men as well as women. If you know Greek history, the Temple of Athena Nike (Victory), is attributed to the female goddess of the same name.

The image of “Liberty Leading the People”, a painting of the 18 th Century done by the French man Eugene Delacroix should give a clear view of the significance of the goddess concept and the shaping of American society. Years later the “Statue of Liberty” was given to the new nation by France as a symbol of freedom. Freedom from the bible and the “religious shackles” which history has shown as being opposed to the advancement of society. To be intolerant of minorities such as women, people of colour and those lesbians, homosexuals and gays whose lifestyle had to be a secret, masked or hidden was seen as bigotry.

This gift from France was an indication of who were the players working behind the scenes— The Enlightened Ones. The free thinkers. The creators of the new self—with its humanistic ideals. “We are gods.” We don’t need God and law from ecclesiastical councils. We make our own law.

This atheistic nation—France, in scripture is … “The ‘great city’ [and] is also compared, ‘spiritually,’ to Sodom. The corruption of Sodom in breaking the law of God was especially manifested in licentiousness. And this sin was also to be a pre-eminent characteristic of the nation that

should fulfill the specifications of this scripture.

According to the words of the prophet, then, a little before the year 1798 some power of Satanic origin and character would rise to make war upon the Bible. And in the land where the testimony of God’s two witnesses should thus be silenced, there would be manifest the atheism of Pharaoh, and the licentiousness of Sodom. The youth are overrun by a destructive tornado, and the milieu in which they find themselves becomes benumbing after they have grown accustomed to that type of environment. Their characters manifest reckless behaviour, which to them might seem quite the norm. NOTE: The term beast from the abyss in this context is not a reference to the prophecy of Revelation.

That deceptive influence is the same since the inception of the earth. That deceiver, who spoke through the medium of a dazzling and beautiful serpent, told Eve that she will experience freedom and true satisfaction of life, if she choose to take a path that her Creator prohibited.

SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Wildly popular a capella group Pentatonix has been booked to perform at this summer’s July 2-11 General Conference session in San Antonio. The group, formed in 2011, catapulted to fame the same year by winning NBC’s third season of The Sing-Off. Pentatonix, loved for their pop-infused a capella arrangements of songs, is especially popular with Seventh-day Adventists due to the presence of Adventist group member Kevin “K.O.” Olusola.

The work and authorship of Sister Ellen G. White in relation to education, shows the marriage of education and character, the principles within its “grand palaces”, which speak in clear tones to the youth in our church, as well as those in secular society. Her book

Education

, especially has valuable lessons for this final generation. She writes: “What are the works on which, throughout the most susceptible years of life, the minds of the youth are led to dwell? In the study of language and literature, from what fountains are the youth taught to drink?—From the wells of paganism; from springs fed by the corruptions of ancient heathendom.” Ed. p. 226

SPIRITUALISM TAKES OVER Ellen White continues:

As the youth go out into the world to encounter its Allurements to sin— the passion for money getting, for amusement and indulgence, for display, luxury, and extravagance, the overreaching, fraud, robbery, and ruin—what are the teachings there to be met?

Spiritualism asserts that men are unfallen demigods; that "each mind will judge itself;" that "true knowledge places men above all law;" that "all sins committed are innocent;" for "whatever is, is right," and "God doth not condemn." The basest of human beings it represents as in heaven, and highly exalted there. Thus it declares to all men, "It matters not what you do; live as you please, heaven is your home." Multitudes are thus led to believe that desire is the highest law, that license is liberty, and that man is accountable only to himself. Ed 227

With such teaching given at the very outset of life, when impulse is strongest, and the demand for self-restraint and purity is most urgent, where are the safeguards of virtue? What is to prevent the world from becoming a second Sodom? At the same time anarchy is seeking to sweep away all law, not only divine, but human.

The centralizing of wealth and power; the vast combinations for the enriching of the few at the expense of the many; the combinations of the poorer classes for the defense of their interests and claims; the spirit of unrest, of riot and bloodshed; the world-wide dissemination of the same teachings that led to the French Revolution--all are tending to involve the whole world in a struggle similar to that which convulsed France. Such are the influences to be met by the youth of today. To stand amidst such upheavals they are now to lay the foundations of character.

These young people are set up as icons to change culture and ways of thinking.

What’s the real issue behind all this?

The same issue since Genesis. Disobedience to God’s law is the sordid and sad spinoff of PRIDE.

Eve aspired to have a place that wasn’t created for her.

Eve had been perfectly happy by her husband's side in her Eden home; but, like restless modern Eves, she was flattered with

the hope of entering a higher sphere than that which God had

assigned her. In attempting to rise above her original position, she fell far below it. A similar result will be reached by all who are unwilling to take up cheerfully their life duties in accordance with God's plan. In their efforts to reach positions for which He has not fitted them, many are leaving vacant the place where they might be a blessing.

In their desire for a higher sphere, many have sacrificed true womanly dignity and nobility of character, and have left undone the very work that Heaven appointed them.

Patriarchs and Prophets p. 59

After women ordination, what will be the next step in disobedience?

S ince God hadn’t created the woman to assume a position that should be held by the man, could this lead to issues of confusion in roles of gender, and the creation of indistinct lines between women and men. A greater breakdown in the family, which leaves a vacuum, hence youth becoming more at risk. Could this result in the type of immorality Paul encountered and spoke against in his Epistle to the Romans in chapter 1 of the book?

Romans 1

(verse 25) Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

(verse 26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

(Rom 1:27 ) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

(Rom 1:28) And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave

them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

When Paul wrote these words, what was the social order of things? Wasn’t it the same as what existed in Greek society. Paganism was the greatest hindrance to the Christian church. Paul’s letter was to address the church, which was being threatened with the inroads of Roman culture and practices being adapted from the world. To what end do we, like they, desire this change that will bring us into favour with the world— in order to appear dynamic and contemporary?

These are the days of which the prophet Joel spoke. Despite the

state that the Seventh-day Adventist church finds itself in , God is going to perform His mighty works in His children.

(Joe 2:19) Yea, the LORD will answer and say unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: (Joe 2:23) Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the LORD your God: for he hath given you the former rain moderately, and he will cause to come down for you the rain, the former rain, and the latter rain in the first month.

(Joe 2:24) And the floors shall be full of wheat, and the fats shall overflow with wine and oil.

(Joe 2:25) And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.

REVELATION 14 PRESENTS THE LAST MESSAGE TO A DYING WORLD

Revelation 14:6—12 (Rev 14:6) And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,

THE MESSAGE IS: 1. A call made by the Creator to come back to true God centered worship, based on God’s original design set forth in Genesis. 2. A call to turn away from Babylon (Humanistic ideals) because she is FALLEN IS FALLEN.

3. A call to reject the MARK of the BEAST, the upcoming ENFORCED SUNDAY SABBATH.

(Rev 14:15) And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe.

(Rev 14:16) And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped.

REVELATION 18 EXTENDS THE MESSAGE ABOUT THE FALL OF BABYLON.
