Analogy is a comparison of similar objects.
An analogy says that since the objects are
alike in some ways, then they must be alike
in other ways.
Examples:

Eerie is to ghosts, as scary is to monsters.
Example 3:
Cheesy is to crackers, as salty is to salmon
