What is Title I?

Title I, Part A is a federally funded program under the
Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965. TCMS is a School-wide Title I School
with strong focus on parental notification and involvement.

Using Title I funds
Title I funds are used to:
 Implement parent involvement activities such as parent
workshops and faculty training
 Hire additional teachers to provide interventions and allow for
flexible grouping in reduced class size models
 Conduct tutoring during the school year and during the summer
 Provide professional learning opportunities for our teachers

 Provide supplies and computer applications to supplement
student learning
