Petrozavodsk is the capital of
Karelia, it is situated on the
western shore of Lake Onega.

The martial spring were discovered in 1714 by the
hammer worker Riaboev. The spa was opened to the
public in 1716

1718-1724 Peter the Great visited Martial Waters himself and
was treated there.
In 1930, the study of Karelia’s resort resources became more
active in many respects thanks to the active of Doctor Vishnevsky.
