Behavior Policy
In terms of the behavior policy we would stick to the basics from our discipline
policy that will be mailed out to parents the first week of school
• don’t not bring toys to school
• no chewing gum
• we keep our hands to ourselves (no hitting, kicking, punching or pushing)
• listening and following directions in order to be safe
• no weapons or anything that could be used for a weapon
In terms of basic expectations – as teachers we expect the following:
• our students to come to school everyday/on time ready to learn
• students to complete homework
• students to follow classroom rules
• students to work hard, listen to directions and complete their work
• students who are fair, kind to each other and who work at being good
citizens
Homework Policy
Students have homework four nights
a week, for approximately 20 to 30
minutes.
Spelling homework will be done biweekly.
Writing and reading homework will be
sent home on alternate weeks.
Math homework will be sent home daily.

Most grades assignments are graded on
the 1-4 scale.

Volunteers Needed
Volunteers are an integral part of MKES.
Here are some things you can do to
help:
• Volunteer in the classroom to help
students or teachers.
• Volunteer to help our other staff.
• Volunteer at school events.
• If you are unable to come into our school
than you can volunteer at home by having
your child’s teacher send home items you
can do at home like cutting art supplies or
folding papers.
