一、英文句子的組成
英文句型大致可以分為四種,以下是以 be 動詞為例,
分別解說四種句型:
1. 直述句
「主詞」可分單數或複數,動詞則有 am / are / is
三種。
Ex: He is a student.(他是個學生。)
L1 How are you?
(1) 主詞為人稱代名詞
單數人稱代名詞並列作主詞使用時,其順序為:
第二人稱(you) 第三人稱(he / she / it)
第一人稱(I)
Ex: You, he and I are students.
( 你、他和我都是學生。)
複數人稱代名詞並列作主詞使用時,其順序為:
第一人稱(we) 第二人稱(you)
第三人稱(they)
Ex: We, you and they are classmates.
(我們、你們和他們都是同學。)

(2) 主詞若為普通名詞,單數主詞的be 動詞現在式用 is,
複數主詞用 are。
Ex: Her pen is green.(她的筆是綠色的。)
His books are heavy.(他的書都很重。)
2. 否定句
在 be 動詞後加入否定語詞 not,構成否定句。
Ex: He is not a student.(他不是個學生。)
3. 疑問句
疑問句的形成大多都是「主詞」與「動詞」倒裝的結果。
Ex: He is a student. Is he a student?(他是個學生嗎?)

(1) 將肯定句改為疑問句
be 動詞am / is / are 移至句首,改為大寫Am / Is / Are,
再將句尾的句點改問號。
當中如果有人名(Mary, Miss Lin . . . )和 I(我),不論
放在什麼位置都要大寫。
Ex: 肯定句 Betty is a student.(Betty是個學生。)
疑問句 Is Betty a student?(Betty 是個學生嗎?)
肯定句 I am a teacher.(我是個老師。)
疑問句 Am I a teacher?(我是個老師嗎?)

(2) 造原問句
「 原問句」與「疑問句」的不同在於「原問句」是依題目劃
線部分,寫出相對應的問句,可區分為「Yes / No 的原問句」
及「Wh- 問句的原問句」。
Yes / No 的原問句
省略Yes 或No:
Ex: Yes, he is a teacher.(是,他是個老師。)
原問句 Is he a teacher?(他是個老師嗎?)
將be 動詞往前移:
Ex: Yes, I am a student.(是的,我是個學生。)
原問句 Are you a student?(你是個學生嗎?)

小心「你問我答」,人稱代名詞變化的考題陷阱。當答句
是my (我的)時,原問句是用 your(你的)問。
Ex: Yes, it is my book.(是,這是我的書。)
原問句 Is it your book?(這是你的書嗎?)

Wh- 問句的原問句
將題目劃線部份用 Wh- 疑問詞代替。例如:問人名用
What,問時間用 What time,問地方用 Where,問形容
詞用 How。
Ex: I am fine.(我很好。)
原問句 How are you? (你好嗎?)
將be 動詞移到主詞前
Ex: I am in the classroom.(我在教室裡。)
原問句Where are you?(你在哪裡?)

小心「你問我答」的考題陷阱
Ex: My name is Amy.(我的名字是 Amy。)
原問句 What’s your name?(你的名字是什麼? = 你叫
什麼名字?)
4. 否定疑問句
否定疑問句是在疑問句 be 動詞後面加 not, 否定疑問句
是用來確認自己認為的事情是否正確,也可以詢問對方是
否認同自己的看法。要注意否定詞 not 在句首一定要縮寫,
在句中則不需要縮寫。
Ex: Isn’t he a student?(他不是個學生嗎?)
Is he not a student?(他不是個學生嗎?)
