“ In a word, we feel your Leadership Program is
mostly responsible for this new found attitude
of our citizens and those of the entire County.”
What has caused these
changes?
Attitudes have changed.
•People have begun to get involved because
they are seeing things happen.
•Everyone wants to part of a winning team
•Volunteerism is contagious
•Saturday Mornings worked in the winter, but not in the
spring and summer.
•Evenings worked well in the summer, but ran into
conflicts in the fall and winter.
•Early morning meetings are working the best.
•You can ask too much of your volunteers.
•Try not to take Volunteers away from their work. Unless
they can count it as part of their job.
•Do not just meet and visit, plan and take action
Become active, if your Community doesn’t
another will.
Kiowa County Accomplishments
•High Speed Internet
connection for entire county.
•Legislation to burn abandoned
structures.
•More Volunteers helping with
Communities activities.
•Tourism committee to promote
Kiowa County.
That’s all for now, But it’s not
the End.
