Why ePortfolio? To help students stay on track with their educational goals and achieve their graduation plans on time: Why ePortfolio? To engage students in discussion of advising and transfer issues based on students’ educational and career plans. The goal is to make ePortfolio as an advisement instrument to support the successful transfer of our students to senior colleges and/or have gainful employment. Why ePortfolio? For Transfer and Employment : LaGuardia’s ePortfolios help students to examine and reflect on their learning and career goals. This eases the transition from LaGuardia to the worlds of work and advanced education. More and more employers are starting to use ePortfolios instead of resumes. For Program assessment: All colleges and universities examine teaching practice and student learning in order to improve the education provided to students.
