• Systemwide technology project, sponsored by CCC Chancellor’s Office
Technology and Telecommunications Infrastructure Program
• Provides services and applications to improve educational outcomes using
network-enabled technologies. AB 1437 (Padilla) established CVC last year
in Ed. Code as K-20 organization
• Vendor neutral (tool agnostic) – provide educational technology to
college/faculty/staff/student needs
• Multiple projects - including ePortfolio California, Online Course Catalog,
CAHSEE Steps, California Accelerated Pathways, CSU / CCC Enhanced
Transfer Pilot Program, MERLOT Partnership, and more…

eFolio Application Overview
• Created by Minnesota State Colleges and
Universities in 2002 as an e-service for all citizens
• Expanded to eFolioPA, eFolioworld as interest
peaked
• ePortfolio-only tool, includes Web 2.0 applications,
institution-wide summary data
• Released v2.0 5/09, CVC “sole distributor” for CA
K-20 education
• Accessible to users with disabilities (Section 508 /
WCAG Compliant), both authoring and viewing
