Project target, on detail
Our goal is to set up a powerful Internet social network
with two protagonists:
Seafarer’s centers and seafarers (with their families):
1) share an Internet space for multimedia interaction;
2) share a unified point of access to services;
3) build a bidirectional flow to act a real involvement
of the seafarer in the project.

suggestions with a collaborative vision.

• basic information on its services;
• notifications about the current state of services (opening
hours in the actual day, operation of the Internet
connection, availability of shuttle service...);
• news by the manager, structured on two levels: news and
alerts for important messages;
• each center is traced back with a realtime tagging system;
• seafarers will be able to leave feedback in relation to each

The results
The data collected will feed into a comprehensive
monitoring system to define the status of the services
provided by different centers and the real needs of
seafarers.
All data can be acquired and analyzed in real time through
the cooperation of the seafarers involved in the social
architecture.
This social network can become the reference point of the
whole system of interaction with the seafarers world and be
developed also with the latest generation of mobile
appliances (iPhone, Android, Java smartphones ...).
