Monday (Act of Kindness for the week) Actions will
always speak louder than words, this week make a
kind act or jester to someone every day. Pass out
papers, pick up a piece of trash that’s not yours,
make one kind jester every day this week.
Hispanic Heritage Month
Rudy Davalos is the son of Mexican immigrants. He
rose to great heights during a 50-year career in
athletics that ended with his retirement as athletic
director at the University of New Mexico. H was
inducted into the National Hispanic Hall of Fame for
his stellar body of work in the field of athletics. He is
the uncle of one of Parkside’s PE teachers. Can you
guess what PE teacher has such an inspiring uncle?
Cheerleaders
Attention Students trying out for Cheer today. At
lunch you must check to make sure your name is on
the list for physical and concussion training. If your
name is not on the list, do not stay after school!! All
physicals and concussion training must be turned into
Mrs. Harigan before the end of the day!!! See Mrs.
Harigan in room 900 if you have any questions.
Robotics
Students who are interested in robotics this year can
now get their application from Miss. Brotsch in room
902 or off her robotics fusion page. All parts of the
application are due by TODAY,
October 6that 3:00."
Chef’s Club
There is still room for 9 more students in the Chef’s
Club. Sign up now with Mrs. Linda Reynolds in the
cafeteria. If you have turned in a Chef’s Club form
you are now part of the club!
The first meeting will be October 14, 2014 and the
club will meet once a month after that.
Quilting Club
The Quilting Club is FULL!
The first meeting will be on October 15.
