The pyramid of the Louvre was built by Leoh
Ming Pei in 1985 and inaugurated in 1989.He
was born in 1917 in China. He built a lot of
projects in the world .In 1983 , he received the
Pritzker Price.
It is a made of glass .It is 21.64m high and built
on a square base of 35.42m (same proportions
as the Pyramid of Chops). They used 603
diamonds and 70 triangles . This system includes
128 beams maintained by 16 thin steel cables.
This construction makes a contrast with the
older buildings.
Connection between the golden ratio and the
pyramid of the Louvre.
The pentagram is the base of a remarkable pyramid
whose lateral sides are golden triangles. If the
radius of the base is 1, then its height is φ.If we
assemble twelve of these pyramids on the faces of
the regular dodecahedron, we get the small stellated
dodecahedron. The pyramid of the Louvre is a golden
pyramid.
