Schooling starts in elementary schools consisting of two stages:
1st 1 - 4 grade
2nd 5 – 9 grade
- compulsory learning a foreign language from 5th grade of
elementary school
- in 2007 - New concept of teaching foreign languages in
primary and secondary schools was approved by the
goverment and introduced to schools in September 2008
- since 2008 teaching two foreign languages has been compulsory
1th foreign language from 3th grade and 2nd foreign language
from 6th grade
- 1st foreign language – most of all English or German
- 2nd foreign language – English, German, Russian or French
After finishing 9th grade pupils transfer to a secondary school of their
choice which can last from 3 to 5 years
BUSINESS ACADEMY AND FOREIGN LANGUAGES
- a four-year secondary school which provides a complete
secondary specialized education in the field of economic
subjects, specialising in accounting (bookkeeping),
economics and enterpreneurship
- school was established in 1992 and the Russian language
has been taught since 2004
- teaching foreign languages starts in 1st grade and finishes
in the 4th grade by passing a school leaving exam called
MATURITA
- pupils learn 1st foreign language – Eng or Ger and 2nd
foreign language - Eng, Ger or Rus

The Common European Framework of
Reference
• teaching 1st foreign language is finished in the 4th grade
with a school leaving exam called Maturita at the level
B1/B2 according to The Common European Framework
of Referance for Teaching Languages
• teaching 2nd foreign languge is finished in the 4th grade
аt the level А2/B1, a school leaving exam is voluntary

• in 2006 four our pupils
together with a teacher
participated in a project in
Ancara, Turkey which was
called „Sports against
xenofobia„
• in 2007 one pupil escorted
by a teacher participated in
a project called „Diversity is
our strength" in Armenia
Pupils of our school take part
in different international
projects
Participation in different competitions
• Students of our school are
interested in events taking
place in the European Union
and therefore they participate
in different competitions with
concern of the life in the
European Union.
• A reward for them is often a
stay in various countries of
Europe where they have a
possibility to use their
language skills in practise.
Тhat kind of the reward was a stay of
two our students in Strassburg in
2008 or in German Weimar where a
student of ours spent a week.
