CALL TO ACTION…..BACK TO BASICS

Try to always ask questions that do not require
a yes or no answer. Instead of saying, “Do you
have any openings?” Ask, “What positions do
you generally hire for?” (Even if you know the
answer. Get them talking. Get them
connected.)

Have a short list of what you want from the call.
CALL TO ACTION CONTINUE….

Always have a call to action. Set up an
appointment to meet, email follow-up, or a time
in the future to check back for example.

Ask for a referral. Do they know anyone in the
field who is looking for qualified applicants.
ICE BREAKER
Build profiles of potential employers. Some
suggested points are:
I am interested in serving on the Advisory Board(s)
 I am interested in attending your Free Annual
Career Fairs
 My Company offers tuition re-imbursement
 My Company is interested in learning more about
professional development opportunities for staff
and employees
 I anticipate my hiring needs to be ________
