First Book is a national nonprofit organization
that gives children from low-income families
the opportunity to read and
own their first new books.
Since 1992, First Book has provided over
60 million books
to children in need.

criteria may apply for a C.S. book grant:
• At least 80% of the children they serve
must come from low-income families
• Be able to distribute at least 6 books
per year to each child in their program
