2009 – 2010 Project Activities Implemented by Dimitar Hadjivasilev State High School of Economics I. Students and Teachers – Two Unfailing Sources of Holy Water operational programme “Development of Human Ressources”, European Social Fund Project Team: Roumyana Peneva – team leader Maria Krastevich – accountant Milka Tomerova – coordinator Project Partner – Dimitar Hadjivasilev Foundation – Svishtov Total Value of the Project – 46 590,09 lv. – a donation from the European Social Fund Results: • Implementation of partial uniform and a school’s symbol, including a shirt, a tie, a waistcoat and an emblem • Created Clubs: “Young Administrator”, “In the World of New Technologies”, ”Reproductive Health” • Two Basketball Tournaments named “For the Cup of the Donor” were held The School’s Uniform Sports Tournament Participants in “In the World of New Technologies” Club ІІ. Project “Embrace of Advertising” part of the “Youth in Action” Programme of the EU • The project took part from 01.07.2009 until 31.12.2009. In partnership with counterpart schools from the city of Luebeck – Germany and the city of Gdynia - Poland. • Total Value of the Project – 3490 € • Team Leader and Coordinator – Marin Petkov Stanev – a teacher of English and French Results: • Integration of young people to the European values; • Professional development of the students; • Contacts of the students with their peers to develop their English language skills; • Making Advertising materials; • Participation in a free raffle, a seminar and a radio interview. Project Participants: ІІІ. Project „125 years – Always First!” „The School – Students’ Territory”, Module “Ritualization of School’s Life”, A Solemn Celebration of School’s holidays and traditions • Total Value of the Project – 2000 lv., 400 lv. Of which were financed by the Programme and 600lv., - provided by the partner – Dimitar Hadjivasilev Foundation - Svishtov; • Project Coordinator – Lyudmilla Angelova – Bulgarian teacher. Results: • Increasing the school organization’s internal integration; • Increasing the external adaptability of school’s organization; • Enriching the organizational culture – implementation of a new symbol – a plaque of the School. Participants in the School’s Holiday Concert and the Jubilee Conference ІV. National Programme “Optimization of School’s Network” : • Task „No Free Classes” – substitution of missing teachers from 01.03.2009 г. until • Task „Paying Indemnity of the Staff” – the total amount paid for 2009 is 9328 lv. 19.03.2010 г. – 262 periods. V. National Programme “ICT in Education” – The School has an Internet connection together with 25 teachers who are provided with a home Internet connection. VІ. National Programme “Proportional payment”, module „Career Development of Teachers and Еducators”- an introduced system for career development. 21 senior teachers and 2 chief teachers have been appointed. An additional payment has been set up to each teacher according to his/her achievements in teaching. VІІ. National Programme “Modernization of School’s Facilities”: • Module „Sport at School” – building activities related to an aerobics room and a gymnasium. • Module „Renovation of learning facilities at schools” – renovation of students’ desks • and chairs and changing old blackboards with new whiteboards. Module „Creating an accessible architectural environment” - a lift was mounted for people with physical disabilities. VІІІ. Providing Funds for Support of the Physical Education and Sport at Dimitar Hadjivasilev State High School of Economics following Decree 129 of the Council of Ministers • Project Value for 2009 – 1 521 lv. • Coordinator – Angel Kanchev Petkov – senior teacher of PE and history Results: • School’s Sports Events on football, basketball and volleyball for boys and girls; • Participation in the School Games – 2009 – city’s level, regional level and zonal level; • Improvement of the sports facilities with a treadmill, a rowing simulator and a stepper. Project “Italian language and culture” Coordinator – Eleonora Todorova Encheva – teacher of Russian and Francesca Montenaro – a sister at the catholic church in Svishtov • Learning of the Italian language and culture by a group of students from the High School with Miss Montenaro as a teacher. • An excursion to Rome was organized for the best students from the course in order to get acquainted with the Italian language, culture and traditions. • A photo exhibition called “Rome – past and present” was organized. The participants in the excursion to Rome Saint Peter’s Square Х. Project “School’s self-government” – a joint project of Dimitar Hadjivasilev State High School of Economics and The United States Peace Corps Coordinator – Lilyana Yordanova – teacher of biology and German; Results: • A structure of the Students’ Parliament was established with: A Code of the representatives in the students’ council, Organization and Activity Regulations, The Students’ Council Activity Plan; • An Exchange of good practice with The Students’ Council of the National High School of Finance and Economics in Sofia; • A two-hour charity concert “Hope for the children of Haiti” was held. The money raised was 500 lv.
