Catoctin Mountain
Music & Dance Weekend
June 18-20, 2010
Intergenerational, welcoming to first-timers, family and
singles friendly, great for talking, eating, nature walks,
and just sitting around as well as for listening to and
playing music, dancing, and singing.
In the Catoctin Mountain Park, near Thurmont,
Md.,
about 90 minutes from Baltimore
Presidents since FDR have come here to renew themselves. You
might not be able to spend a weekend at Camp David, but you
can join us at Camp Misty Mount.
There are lots of things to do:
Play and listen to music.
Talk to old and new friends.
Dance and sing.
Spend time with your children.
Spend time away from your children.
Eat.
Explore Nature.
Make Music
A Note about Playing Instruments
There’s a bunch of photos
coming up of people playing
instruments. That’s because
they’re having so much fun
it makes for good photos.
You don’t have to play an
instrument in order to come
and have a good time!
If you’re got an
instrument—even if you’re
not very good at it—bring it
along. This is a good place
to jam with friendly
musicians and learn from
more experienced players.
Join the Catoctin Open Band
Play your mountain dulcimer in the
mountains.
Have coffee on the rocks.
Play the recorder
`
Toot, toot, toot, . . . toot.

Camp Misty Mount is on a mountainside, but
