Consortium “I Vini del Piemonte”
"I Vini del Piemonte" is a Consortium among wineries of Piemonte, their associations
and consortium of producers. It was born from the will of the producers themselves
through the Association “Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa” the Barolo area wine
trail, with the full support of the other Piedmontese Strade del Vino.
The will of the doc and docg wine producers of Piemonte is, through "I Vini del
Piemonte", to consolidate internal and external markets and to gain new markets.
It has the objective to realize advertising initiatives and of territorial marketing in order
to consolidate, in the rest of Italy and abroad, the market of the wine and the
Piedmontese wine tourism. Barolo & Friends Event is an example.
The Consorzio “I Vini del Piemonte” is in charge of the planning, the organization and
the coordination and development of advertising and marketing actions in order to value
the Piedmontese vitivinicole productions and of enotourism on the Piedmontese
territory. Objectives that do not enter in conflict with the protection objectives, defence
and valorisation of the consortiums of protection, but together with those work to
promote the great wines of Piemonte and to increase the enogastronomical tourism
through specific initiatives.
Its forces are the territory and the producers that live and work there. The Consortium
wants to strength the image abroad of all of the regional agricultural patrimony
throughout common actions and the participation to fairs and events in Italy, in synergy
with the protagonists of the Piedmontese agricultural and food-system.

Dogliani DOCG:
a new perspective for the wines of piedmontese tradition
In a country with high wine productivity as our, research and development of quality
production process must be constantly moving and evolving.
A vine, always considered a minor vine, through various milestones has achieved the
Docg.
A new modern, aggressive and tenacious way to interpret the role of wine expressed by
wine producers, who are able to create a viable alternative to the aristocracy of the wine,
that always represented the Piedmont.
Very important studies, realised by universities and research centers have helped to
enhance the piedmontese vine. Actually the 95% of regional production is obtained
from indigenous grapes varieties, real power and wealth of a country with an immense
variety of landscape and culture.
The wine represent the business card of a place, with its traditions.
A long exciting trip, different steps to the Docg:
1st November 2006, the producers are allowed for the production of Dogliani Docg
wine
2011, new disciplinary rules combine the two, Doc and Docg, in a unique Docg.
People think that Dolcetto wine is a simple fresh wine. The Docg guarantee a new
important personality and perspective to this indigenous vine.
Several little towns in Dogliani area, included the area of Monregalese, will represent
the Dogliani Docg and Dogliani Docg Superior wine.

Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di Langa
Barolo and other great wines of the Langa region are the protagonists of a tourist and
cultural route that embraces a unique landscape. Wineries and farms, restaurants,
specialties, accommodations, castles and museums too, are members of this association:
they all believe in the motto “top quality at all levels".

Sinio and Verduno: they make up one
of the most beautiful regions in
Piedmont, which is also the territory of
origin of some Piedmontese red wines
which have become world-famous.
The Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di
Langa is a marked wine trail that
crosses the hills of the Barolo district in
the Langhe region, taking in wineries
and farms to offer its visitors the chance
to meet the “king” of wines, the Barolo
wine at the heart of its production.
The project has been carried out by the
municipality union "Colline di Langa e
del Barolo" and by the Regional
Enoteca of Barolo, and has been
approved both by Regione Piemonte
and the Wine District “Langhe Roero e
Monferrato”. It is a showcase for the
enogastronomic,
cultural,
architectonical
and
environmental
richness of the Langa di Barolo area.
The Members of the Strada
The Strada was founded three years ago
and at present has about one hundred
members: according to the last census
there are almost 100 members; in the
category
of
wineries
and
accommodation facilities, as well as
Botteghe del Vino and Regional
Enotecas (that of Barolo, located in the
famous and unique Falletti Castle, and
that of Grinzane Cavour, which is also
housed in one of the most typical and
famous castles in the Langhe).
A trip in the heart of the Langhe
The Strada del Barolo e grandi vini di
Langa is an enticing trip to the heart and
spirit of the Langhe region: wine is the
main protagonist, but in the background
visitors will also enjoy its rich heritage
of culture and traditions and its thriving
nature with a landscape that changes
with the seasons, as well as the strong
but gentle personality of its inhabitants,
who always offer warm hospitality to
their visitors.
Together
with
wineries
and
accommodation
facilities,
also
restaurants, food producers, museums,
castles and tourist attractions have
joined the Strada: all these members
offer the visitors a unequalled
enogastronomic and cultural route that
can unfold all the emotions and feelings
that the Langa arouses in its visitors as
few other places in the world can.
The Strada connects the communes of
Alba, Barolo, Castiglione Falletto,
Cherasco, Diano d’Alba, Dogliani,

follow “virtuous” rules, such as
preferring tap water to drink, eating
fresh bread and grissini instead of prepacked ones, and using tablecloths
made of paper instead of plastic.
Visitors are offered an image of quality,

the Strada. The Regulations of the
association include some standards that
the facilities have to fulfill: their motto
is “quality at all levels”, both
concerning enogastronomy, hospitality
and respect for the environment.
