Safety instructions
Le montage et l’installation des produits ne doivent être

Multi-Contact (MC) décline toute responsabilité en cas de
non-respect de ces consignes.
The products may be assembled and installed exclusively by
suitably qualified and trained specialists duly observing all applicable safety regulations.
Multi-Contact (MC) does not accept any liability in the event of
failure to observe these warnings.
Utiliser uniquement les pièces et les outils recommandés par
MC. En cas d’auto-assemblage, suivre scrupuleusement les
étapes de préparation et de montage décrites ici, faute de quoi
ni la sécurité ni le respect des caractéristiques techniques ne
sont garantis par MC. Ne modifier le produit d’aucune manière.
Use only the components and tools specified by MC. In case
of self-assembly, do not deviate from the preparation and assembly instructions as stated herein, otherwise MC cannot
give any guarantee as to safety or conformity with the technical data. Do not modify the product in any way.
Les connecteurs non fabriqués par MC, parfois qualifiés de
« compatibles MC » par certains fabricants et enfichables avec
des éléments MC, ne répondent pas aux exigences d’une
­liaison électrique sûre et stable à long terme. Pour des raisons
de sécurité, ils ne doivent pas être enfichés dans des éléments
MC. Par conséquent, nous déclinons toute responsabilité si
ces connecteurs non ­approuvés par MC sont utilisés avec des
éléments MC et que des dommages en résultent.
Connectors not originally manufactured by MC which can
be mated with MC elements and in some cases are even
described as ”MC-compatible” by certain manufacturers do
not conform to the requirements for safe electrical connection with long-term stability, and for safety reasons must not
be plugged together with MC elements. MC therefore does
not accept any liability for any damages resulting from mating
such connectors (i.e. lacking MC approval) with MC elements.

The work described here must not be carried out
on live or load-carrying parts.
La protection contre les chocs électriques doit
être assurée par le produit final (c’est-à-dire par le
connecteur correctement monté) et par son utilisateur.
Protection from electric shock must be assured by
the end product (i.e. by the correctly assembled
plug connector) and by its user.
Les connecteurs ne doivent pas être débranchés
sous charge. L’embrochage et le débrochage sous
tension sont permis.
Avant chaque utilisation, vérifier auparavant l’absence de tout défaut externe (et en particulier l’isolation). En cas de doute concernant la sécurité du
matériel, faire appel à un expert ou procéder au remplacement du connecteur incriminé.
Each time the connector is used, it should previously be inspected for external defects (particularly the
insulation). If there are any doubts as to its safety, a
specialist must be consulted or the connector must
be replaced.
Les connecteurs sont étanches à l’eau conformément
au degré de protection IP spécifique au produit.
The plug connectors are watertight in accordance
with the product specific IP protection class.
Les connecteurs non branchés doivent être protégés
contre l’humidité et la saleté. Ne pas embrocher de
connecteurs encrassés.
Unmated plug connectors must be protected from
moisture and dirt. The male and female parts must
not be plugged together when soiled.

Préparation du câble

Faire glisser l’écrou M et la bague de
serrage Z sur le câble dans le sens
indiqué.
Diamètre du câble:
Min. 5,5 mm
Max. 7,5 mm

indicated sequence onto the cable.

Dénuder l’isolation extérieure du câble
sur une longueur de 18 mm. Retourner et plaquer le blindage sur l’isolation, le maintenir à l’aide d’une bande
adhésive.

Without damaging the shielding, carefully strip 18 mm of outer cable insulation.Pull the shield wires back over the
outer insulation cable and secure with
adhesive tape.

à l’aide de la pince à sertir CT-M-CZ
(33.3800) et le positionneur MESCZ (18.3801). Choisir la position du
sélecteur correspondant à la section
du conducteur, voir Tab. 1.

le côté douille et d’un S pour le côté
broche. Les numéros de contact
se trouvent sur la face arrière. Les
contacts doivent être introduits côté
face numérotée.

Introduire l’outil de démontage
CT-NET-AWZ par la face avant, jusqu’à
un clic audible. Le contact peut
ensuite être extrait avec la tige D.

Insert the extraction tool CT-NET-AWZ
from the front side into the contact
slot until you hear a click. Then with
the drift D push out the contact.

Ramener la bague Z contre l’insert
isolant K.
Positonner l’ergot F de la baque sur le
méplat de l’insert isolant.

Connect the retaining ring Z to the
contact insert K. Place the leading part
F over the flat area of the insert K.

Enlever la bande adhésive et découper le blindage de manière à ce qu’il
dépasse d’environ 3 mm derrière la
bague.

Remove adhesive tape and cut the
screening wires so that they can be
layed approx. 3 mm over the retaining
ring.

Note:
In the end position, the retaining ring must clamp the outer cable
insulation.

Insérer l’ensemble dans le support de
contact K. Veiller à positionner correctement le méplat. Serrer l’écrou tout
en immobilisant le câble.

Insert the whole unit in the contact
carrier K. Ensure that the position of
the flat part is correct. Tighten nut M
while holding the cable to avoid any
cable rotation.

Remarque:
La bague doit pincer l’isolation
extérieure du câble.
Serrer l‘écrou à la main (sans
outils). Le filetage visible après
le serrage de l‘écrou dépend du
diamètre externe du câble.

Attention
Tighten the nut only by hand (without tools). The amount of thread
that is visible after tightening
the nut depends on the outside
diameter of the cable.

vérifier que les fiches ne sont
pas endommagées (courbées,
brisées, etc...)

The contact carrier is now ready to
use.
Attention
Following crimping and assembly into the contact carriers, and
before connecting for the first
time, check that the plugs are not
damaged (bent, broken…)
