A Tsuda student in Canberra…

“ Yesterday on April 25th, I woke up at 4 o'clock and went to Dawn Service at War Memorial. I went there with around 20 students from Ursula Hall. Some students told me it would be boring but once I got there, I was so surprised at a number of people there. It was 5:30 in the morning but many people ranging from old people to young kids came and were praying for the courage and sacrifice at Gallipoli in the WW Ⅰ . ”

A Tsuda student in Canberra…

“ It was really impressive. In the service [ 礼 拝 ] the

importance of remembering

was repeated many times and it was said that what and how we ought to remember was important.

Through this service I felt Japanese people started to forget about war and many sacrifices for it, which we should not

...and I also felt I touched the history and people of Australia ( I cannot find good words to describe my feelings but I hope you can understand what I mean...). “
