• Stimulate innovation in learning materials for UoLIP

themselves before committing to a full programme
• Partnership model creates opportunities for learning
from other MOOC providers
• Provides a relatively safe method for trialling new
learning, teaching and assessment methodologies with
large scale students

MOOCs to date may contain elements of good, bad and
ugly practice but they will evolve …. there will be
innovation and there will be business & academic models
which will emerge and provide for scalable, high quality
online programmes..
