Term 3 saw some unforeseen
changes to our leadership. Our
thanks must go to the committee for effecting them seamlessly, with a special thanks to
past-president Pat who took
on the vice-presidency and continues
to give generously of her time and

Once gone, can they be retrieved? The situation reminds
me of Joni Mitchell’s 1970 song

DISCONTINUED FOR TERM 4
Margaret Hildebrand,
Coordinator of CUG Short
Courses since the commencement
of 2013, has found it necessary to
resign owing to family commitments. A replacement Coordinator has not nominated in
time to fill this position for Term 4.
Margaret writes:
‘I do hope people will come forward next year to support ongoing
computer classes.
I’d like to say thank you to other
volunteers who help with computer
classes, tutoring, assisting people
in different classes, collecting
equipment, etc. Many hands make
light work and help develop a network of friendly positive support.
I do encourage others to offer their
help, and enjoy the challenge in
good company’.
We express our warm appreciation to Margaret for her commitment as Coordinator of CUG
Short Courses during this time,
and look forward to further involvement, as she is able, in the
future.

ARE YOU OUT & ABOUT?
Events Co-ordinator, Ric Mepsted,
has sought to provide members
with a varied and exciting social
program this year.
Despite the existence of the program and arrangements being
made for us, we have not embraced
the outings in a supportive way.
We are the ones missing out missed opportunity, companionship
& sharing, making new friends, and
visiting new places.
Our program for Term 4 is varied
and there should be something to
excite all of us.
Take the time to return to page 20
and look more closely at the events
that are being organised.
