ICSEEA 2012
Fellow Friends, On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA) 2012, I would like to thank you all for coming to Yogyakarta and attend this scientific conference. We hope this conference provided an interesting program and served as an excellent forum for innovative and technical discussion. The ICSEEA 2012 is organized by Indonesian Institute of Sciences, Research Center for Electrical Power and Mechatronics and was held from 6 to 8 November 2012 in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. We hope it will be biennial event where international scientist, technologists, researchers, academicians, government officials, practitioners and private sectors interact and promote networking as well as expand their S&T cooperation. With the theme of “Biomass and Solar Energy for Sustainable Development,” I believe that the submitted papers conform well to the theme of the conference. At first, there were 93 submissions with authors from 17 countries across the continents. After peer reviewing process by at least two reviewers drawn from external reviewers and committees, there are about 61 papers are accepted for 48 oral presentations and 13 poster presentations. For today, there are 16 countries participated in this conference event. In addition to regular presentations, six invited speakers, i.e Prof. Dr. Craig Froome (Global Change Institute, the University of Queensland, Australia), Prof. Dr. Rosli Bin Abu Bakar (Fakulti Kejuruteraan Mekanikal, Universiti Malaysia Pahang, Malaysia), Ir. Tumiran, M.Eng, PhD. (Faculty of Engineering, Gadjah Mada University, Indonesia), Ir. Moch. Sofyan (New and Renewable Energy Division, PT. PLN, Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Mukesh Pandya (Jai Hind College, University of Mumbai, India), and Prof. Dr. Kanit Wattanavichien (Mechanical Engineering Department, Chulalongkorn University, Thailand) are invited to deliver lectures in the field of Biomass and Solar Energy in two plenary sessions. This conference also held with all thanks to contributions from Steering Committee, Organizing Committee, Invited Speakers, Authors, and all the participants. Therefore I would like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation to all of them and also especially to international peer reviewers for their precious expertise and timely reviews. RCEPM – LIPI
Dear all, The International Conference on Sustainable Energy Engineering and Application (ICSEEA) 2012 held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, from 6 to 8 November 2012, was organized by Research Center for Electrical Power and Mechatronics (RCEPM; www.telimek.lipi.go.id
). It is a scientific event to promote development of science and technology and their applications under the theme of “Biomass and Solar Energy for Sustainable Development”. High qualified papers have been presented and discussed by researchers, academicians, policy makers, practitioners, and other professionals all over the world. RCEPM is a research centre under the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI; www.lipi.go.id
), the largest research institution in Indonesia ranked 56th in the world top research centers by the international Webometrics survey on January 2013. The main business of the RCEPM LIPI is conducting research and development (R&D) activities in the field of electrical power and mechatronics as well as carrying out applications and disseminations of the relevant science and technology in order to support sustainable development of national economy, human life, and global environment. RCEPM LIPI has been emerging many important R&D results for Indonesia including power generation from solar thermal, biogas, wind, hydro; turbine and electric motor engineering; fuel policy review; electric/hybrid vehicle prototyping; robotic for security and logistics; advanced coating method; and CNC milling machine. Moreover, RCEPM - LIPI has been publishing a scientific journal called Journal of Mechatronics, Electrical Power, and Vehicular Technology (MEV). It is a nationally accredited journal and is now promoted to become an international journal. In this opportunity, we would like to invite you to become authors or reviewers of this journal.
