Programme
In this course you can gain knowledge and
technical skills from intensive lectures, practical
distraction on biomodels, case discussion and
also observation of live surgery of maxillofacial
deformity cases. It is an honor to have such an
experienced surgeon and teacher in the area
of dentofacial deformities here in Hospital Kuala
Lumpur and we would like to encourage
colleagues and friends from all over the country
and overseas to participate in this course.

This training course to surgically correct
dentomaxillofacial deformities is the fourth
course of its kind to be held at the Department
of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Hospital Kuala
Lumpur. The course will be conducted by Prof.
Steve Shen from Affiliated Ninth People’s Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University which is one
of the best centers for dentomaxillofacial
deformity reconstructive surgery. Prof. Shen is
Head of Unit and Senior Consultant at the Ninth
Peoples Hospital, a unit which performs more
than 200 dentofacial deformity surgeries per
year.
