The existing pitch area runs in a north east to south west direction on a flat
area of ground to the south west of the main school buildings.
The surface is a good grassed area, level and with adequate drainage.
There is a land drain at the bottom of the land which is proposed to be sold
together with a concrete structure at and below ground level. The land
proposed to be sold is land locked apart from a small strip off Heol Cae
Copyn. However there is a mature tree and also an electrical supply box in
this area which would have to be removed / relocated to allow access to the
land.

Proposed
The area proposed to retain varies in level across its topography.
Re-grading of the area with cut and fill can produce an area to accept a mini
football pitch. There are 2 options.
The first location would need to be immediately opposite the access lane
because the land falls away quite steeply towards Heol Cae Copyn.
This area is historically know to have flooding issues and boggy areas in bad
weather associated with the nearby car park and scout hut.
There is currently a running lane area marked at this location.
Proposed mini pitch area. To be regraded and drainage
addressed.

The second location would be in the northern area of the site, but this would
require large earthworks and re-grading to lift and level the area off, for the
land falls away quite steeply to the rear of the houses.
This area is also know to be wet during the winter period due to run-off.
Area of land requiring regrading and lifting to level off.
